Great news for members of the Tinder culture: you can now break up as easily as you hook up!
Come again? Explain.
Tinder was launched in 2012 and exploded in the past year as singles realized one of the true benefits of social media: you can meet your soul mate with one swipe.
However, what would Tinder users do once they realized that their soul mates probably weren’t their last Tinder encounter? Break up, using the new app, Binder.
Binder, which is the sequel to Tinder, allows for users to break up with their significant others with one swipe.
To use the binder app, type in your significant other’s name, gender, and phone number, choose a reason why the breakup must happen and swipe right.
When my parents dated in college, their dating culture was much more different than today’s culture. Now, easy access on social media, means easy access for meeting and deleting.
I’m interested to see how dating culture will change along with social media changes in the future. If you’ve seen the movie Her, with Joaquin Phoenix, about a man who essentially falls in love with a computer, that is what comes to mind when I think about the far future. I think some people will actually date personalized computers at some point because of how linked our culture has become with technology.
Until then, you can use tinder and binder. Binder can be found on the Apple App store and Google App store.
